Need some advice on what should be my first motorcycle from experienced riders?

The bigger the bike the bigger the bills so factor the cost of tyres and fork seals into your budget. My choice would be a Honda CB500 (boring but cheap and cheerful) but you want something bigger so maybe an old but well maintained VFR750.
