Any ideas for a spring time parade first birthday party?

I already bought decorations for my daughters birthday then came up with the idea of a parade to our neighborhood pool. The decor is unfortunately not animals.....its butterflies, lady bugs, dragonflies and flowers. So I thought we could do a spring time parade. Any ideas? One thing I know I will for sure do is dress my daughter up as a butterfly. We will also let the kids decorate coffee cans, oatmeal tins and toilet paper rolls, that have beans inside of them to make maracas. They can use spring time stickers to decorate with. I am going to give each child a balloon and then decorate my daughters wagon with a first birthday balloon bouquet. Any favor ideas? Any decor ideas that I can throw in with the spring time stuff I already have? What should I do for the cake? Should I incorporate the parade into the cake decor somehow or just match the cake to the butterfly cake plates? Thanks for all your help! Any other ideas to make the parade more fun are welcome.
