Does anybody remember these christian, bible story books?

I was born in 1986, and probably had these books when i was around 4 or 5. I know this, because i remember i couldn't read them, but i loved the vivid imagery of color. Some would bore me, but others i found favour in, like this one page i used to search for all the time, a picture of heaven. I remember it had a lion in it, which i loved. There were so many of these books, and they were big. They looked really old fashioned, but i can't for the life of me remember the titles of any. Like i said, i was only 4 or 5 at the time. I have a feeling these books were way before my time though. The ones i had, were falling apart. Mom must've picked them up from a thrift store or something. Does anybody know of these books? If my memory serves me correctly, i'm pretty sure the binder of each book was a goldish brown. Like i also said, there were many. I remember my mom had a whole pile of them, stacked up. I think for every story of the bible. The illustrations were old-fashioned too (like it had the ancient drawing look about them). I know there are many bible story books out there, but it doesn't hurt to try.
