Log help... im still getting the wrong answers?

So here it is : Loga (x-7) - Loga (x+9) = Loga (x-1) - Loga (x+5) . Now I got this wrong, and I want to know why, before it goes worse, I translated it to (x-7)(x+9) = (x-1)(x+5), from there I used foil and got, x^2 -63x+2 = X^2 -5x +4. I eventually ended up with x=-2/58... reduced it, and got it wrong, can someone help? im clueless on this.
